Olivia Locher was born in 1990 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She started her photography career at age seventeen by photographing people she found interesting. Locher was homeschooled as a teen and claims that she was constantly living in her own "dream land" which currently influences her photography. She attended the School of Visual Arts and received her BFA in 2013. Currently, Locher lives in Manhattan. In addition to photography, she also sculpts and paints. Locher is known for her sarcastic take in studio photography with and focus on color and concepts.

I was drawn to this artist because of her creative idea and visually pleasing, sarcastic pictures. The elements I hope to recreate is her original idea, the use of clean, crisp, and simple looking pictures. Also, her use of vibrant, but not distracting pictures.
